The World is Wounded by Deadly Corona Virus like never before, the first and foremost priority must be the early Vaccination Derive

This might look peculiar to you but there are some genuine question we have right now to answer. First, What are the next steps should we follow to get rid out of this unnecessarily frustrating Corona Pandemic? Second, What are the approaches that should be taken for coming back on the track of Economic development? third, How long should we follow the Social Distancing norms such as wearing masks, maintaining at least 6 feet of gap? four, When will the Vaccination drive begin and we all become immune from the infections of deadly Virus? and many more...

Story So Far:

As we all know that Central Govt of India has approved two COVID-19 Vaccine, first is the Covishield, made by Serum Institute of India(SII) based on Pune and developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca, UK. Second is the Covaxin, Indigenously developed by the Bharat-BioTech in Collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR). Recently Govt has announced that the World's biggest Vaccination Program will going to begin on 16th Jan,2021. Almost 80 Lakhs beneficiaries have already registered on CO-WIN App, a Mobile based App that will provide Real-Time Information regarding Inoculation drive. On the other hand, SII and Bharat-BioTech have stockpiled 5 crore and 1 crore doses respectively.

India's Plans and Programs for Vaccination:

Incumbent NDA govt has already installed a Centrally Sponsored Scheme 'Indradhanush' for the mass Vaccination for Diseases like Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis-B etc. According to Ministry of Health and Family welfare, the COVID-19 Vaccination drive which is going to begin on 16th Jan. 2021 will give priority to estimated 3 crore healthcare workers and other frontline workers. Further, Ministry has issued guidelines that this would followed by the Voluntary Vaccination of people above 50 years and those below 50 years with Co-Morbidities which is numbering nearly 27 crore. To achieve the desired results Govt has trained nearly 3.7 Lakhs Vaccination team members at the State, District and Block levels. Moreover, Principle of People's Participation, Experience of Election(i.e; Booth Strategy) and Universal Immunization Program(i.e; Indradhanush Scheme) will going to play an important role in the Vaccination derive. To tackle the issues of Adverse Events Following Immunization(AEFI), Ministry of Health and Welfare (Immunization Division) has issued a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) to Ministry of Home Affairs and has given power to SHOs of the area to Investigate the matters thoroughly. The SOP provides for investigation/interrogation of the vaccinator, if needed. This will help in monitoring immunization Safety, Correcting unsafe immunization practices, reducing negative impact of the events on health and contributing to the quality of immunization. The SOP also includes Documentation and completed requisition form for transportation of the AEFI sample to a laboratory must have same official stamp. The seal will ensure the samples and details sent to the Lab are not tempered with during transportation. Reasons to worry:

Bharat-BioTech Vaccine Candidate Covaxin has to finish its phase-3 trials and submit updated Safety and Efficacy Data. The whole inactivated virus based Covaxin Vaccine is going to administer on the probability of providing better protection against the Mutated strains. Experts and Scientist have raised alarm for the hasty approval of both the Vaccine candidates. On the other hand, in U.K. new strain of virus is creating havoc like situations, daily toll rate has crossed highest since April of the last year. Other issues may include  chances of fraud in the name of vaccination, unforeseen  side effects of vaccine etc.

To Curb the Spread of New Strain:

AAP Govt in Delhi has put a necessary condition on the travelers arriving from U.K. now all Passengers arriving in the Capital from the U.K will have to undergo a 7-day Institutional quarantine followed by a 7-day home quarantine even if they test negative for COVID-19 on arrival. Progress in COVID Cure:

As of first week of Feb,2021, Govt has claimed that COVID-19 curve is flattened, as nearly 146 districts recorded no new cases in one week. On the other hand, almost 112 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been distributed among States/UTs. In addition to this Govt has also said that Adverse Effect Following Immunisation(AEFI) is stand at just 0.0007% of the total vaccination done so far, there is no case of severe AEFI or death due to vaccination.
